Each week, we tackle the "cinematic canon" to see how films hold up for a modern audience. Can legendary pictures entertain a casual who grew up on Spider-Man reboots and Jim Carrey movies, or will they forever be relics of a bygone era? Are they only for cinema loyalists?

Isaac Ransom works full-time as a marketing leader, with creative experience in brand, advertising, product, music, and film. Isaac is the casual. Juzo is a producer, director, and avid film enthusiast who knows everything about cinema. The podcast is a passion project by three longtime friends; we hope you enjoy it in the limited time we have! We continue our journey through the films of Paul Thomas Anderson, first with the neo-noir dark comedy Inherent Vice, an adaptation of Thomas Pynchon's novel starring Joaquin Phoenix. And then onto the romantic drama (or comedy?) Phantom Thread, Anderson's reunion with Daniel Day-Lewis, also starring Vicky Krieps and featuring a beautiful score by Jonny Greenwood. Juzo and Cameron also briefly discuss the new film The End of Oak Street at the top of the episode.
